tire changer has two foot pedals, the left pedal is clamp that opens
and closes the rim clamps. The right pedal is to control the rotation.
Their mechanism is simple that it consists of duck head, vertical slide,
and swing arm. First the duck head holds the rim of the wheel with help
of swing harm because swing arm purpose is to move duck head left and
right to fit exactly in the rim. Now the vertical slide moves front and
back to help the duck head fit the rim of different sizes of wheel
widths.
How does this Machine work?
- First the operator centers the wheel and fastens them to a table top with help of rim clamp.
- The operator pushes the bottom bead first in well of wheel.
- Then pushes top bead in the center wheel well and rotates table top using top pedal.
- Now operator installs valve core. And slowly inflates the tire until the beads pop on the ledge of wheel.
- Finally releases the rim clamps and inflates the tire again to manufacturer specification.
